Top 10 May 2, 2014 1. Everyone is invited to our 3
rd Annual May Crowning on May 4
th at 7PM. At our May Crowning, we will celebrate those students who have received a sacrament this past year (First Reconciliation, First Communion, or Confirmation) as well as celebrate those students who will be graduating from 8
th grade and high school this year. Those who have received a Sacrament and/or graduated this year will receive a special gift from the parish.
2. God has once again presented us a great opportunity to help so many people by giving us a chance to participate in the Annual Catholic Appeal. Through this appeal the Archdiocese does not only support its parishes but in a greater way it allows the Archdiocese (and thus all of us) to reach out to the poor and needy in our world. Last week we heard about how the Archdiocese helps those suffering from Aids. Please take the time this week to pick up your pledge card after Mass in the Assumption Room and prayerfully consider making a donation.
3. Please do not forget to nominate yourself or fellow parishioners for parish council. Names will be drawn out of a hat on Sunday May 18
th after the 11AM Mass. Everyone nominated will be given a chance to turn down the nomination but sometimes hearing that another person thinks that they are suited for this particular ministry helps a person to say “yes.” Please call the Rectory with your nominations.
4. Tuesday May 6, 2014: Second Tuesday – Men’s Sessions at 7PM and Women’s Session at 7PM.
