1. Fish Fry Fish Fry tonight from 4:30PM -7PM. We were ranked the second best fish fry in Saint Louis right behind St. Cecilia. You could say that makes us the best traditional fish fry in all of Saint Louis. Come and join us tonight.
2. Spiritual Gifts Workshop is the Next Big Step In Epiphany’s Parish St. Paul explains in his first letter to the Corinthians that God has decided not to save us as individuals but as a community. We are like a human body with all its different parts that come together for the health of the body. This idea of us as the Body of Christ reinforces the idea why it is important that all (everyone) come together and offer the gifts and talents we have to God as a community. I would like to invite all Epiphany Parishioners to sign up for the Spiritual Gifts Workshop that will be taking place on Tuesday February 23
rd and March 1
st. Morning Session will be from 10AM to 12Noon and the evening session from 7PM-9PM. These sessions will help us understand what our gifts are and how we can use them to build up God’s kingdom. Please R.S.V.P by calling the rectory A.S.A.P. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being very important this is a 9.
3. Faith and Family Programming For Tuesday February 23, 2016 There will be no faith and family programming this week so that we can all attend the Spiritual Gifts workshop!
4. A Shout Out!!! The weekend of February 13-14
th, I was away from the parish helping with a youth retreat. We had over 90 eight graders and high school students at DuBourg. One of the funny things that happened was when the 8
th graders were asked what they thought of the weekend, they would give “shout outs” to the high school teens that really helped them see God. I would like to be a kid for a moment and give a shout out to Mary Louise and Mickey Smith, Pat and Tom Acquisto, Ray and Kathy Migneco, Jon Keiser, and Jessica Shank for stepping up from Epiphany to help with this multi-parish program.
5. Everyone Needs to Forgive Somebody Classes I hope everyone has enjoyed the book “Everyone Needs to Forgive Someone” by Alan Hunt that we passed out at Christmas. Please mark your calendar now to attend a series of group discussions based on the book. Evening Sessions are cancelled because of a lack of attendance and Morning Session will be Wednesday Mornings 9AM-10AM (Wednesday February 17 to Wednesday February 21). If you wish to participate please read chapter 3&4 before the first class. All classes will take place in the rectory.
