For various reasons, we are unable to offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd this academic year (2020-21). We hope to be back next year. If you are interested in CGS for your children or to volunteer as a catechist, please email Father Michael - Michaelrennier@gmail.com
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based religious formation program for children. It creates and facilitates a sacred, hands-on environment for children called an Atrium, in which children and catechists can hear, ponder, and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Christian faith as revealed in the Scriptures and Liturgy. Learn more about CGS at http://www.cgsusa.org.
Level I atrium is for children ages 3-6 (must be potty-trained and able to follow simple directions). The group meets Tuesdays 10-11:30am.
Level II atrium is intended for 6-9 year old children (with previous experience in level 1) and will also be on Tuesdays, from 12:15 to 2pm.
Our anticipated starting date for the coming year is Tue, September 3rd.
Each atrium session has a limited number of spots, so when registration is open, don't hestitate!
The registration fee is $100 for one child, $175 for two, $250 for 3 or more. Payment may be made by check at the parish office or electronically by following the link that is emailed to you once you register.
Registration is will open May 15th using the form below. Parent donations and volunteering help the Catechist greatly. All parents will be expected to help bring flowers or wash small laundry for the atrium, on a rotating basis over the year.
More questions about the program can be directed to EpiphanyCGS@gmail.com.
VOLUNTEERS! Our atrium is in great need to volunteers to help build and make the space beautiful, and assistants to help at the weekly sessions. Do you hear God calling you to help in this ministry? Free training is provided and the tasks are simple, and the experience is so enriching!
**If you would like to make a donation, checks may be made out to the parish with a note for the atrium, or there is the updated need list here: Epiphany Atrium Need List.
